Bone Grime

In October 2024, my roommate and longtime creative collaborator Chloe Levine and I launched Bone Grime — a passion project born from a shared love of art, sustainability, and self-expression. What started as an opportunity to sell at a local North Portland market quickly became a space for us to experiment, collaborate, and give new life to discarded clothing.

Working with thrifted materials and household supplies, we began transforming garments using bleach painting, linocut prints, and hand-sewn alterations. With almost no budget but plenty of creative drive, we combined our skills to craft one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect a grungy, alternative aesthetic — raw, imperfect, and deeply personal.
