Spell It
UI/UX | October 2021
This UI/UX project focused on designing Spell It, a speech recognition–based mobile app that makes learning to spell more engaging for children. The goal was to transform repetitive spelling practice into a playful, interactive experience that helps kids stay motivated and build confidence as they learn. I worked on a team to design and prototype the app over a three-week period, focusing on usability, visual design, and the integration of speech recognition technology.

User Testing
User Testing (Round 2)
To validate the design we teste the app with 7 users via Maze.
We asked users to complete three tasks:
- Sign up and complete a lesson
- Play a game
- View your stats
- Add a child to their account
Final Thoughts and Future Iterations
Testing participants provided essential insights and suggestions. We would like to continue to provide voice assistance to teach kids to spell in an engaging way.
New Features:
- Connect with friends
- Add more lessons and games
- Parent profiles
- Invite friends to play games with you
- Add customized spelling list
- Add time intervals to monitor time spent
